Co-curricular Activities
Along with the regular curricular progamme, the school provides ample opportunities to bring out the potential of the student through co-curricular activities. For cultural programmes regular weekly assembly is arranged where the students gets a platform to prove his/her talents such as elocution, drama, acting, dance, Quiz competition etc. Various competitions are organized throughout the year and prizes are awarded at the end of the year. The Annual Day is held in the month of December/January where the students give public performance which is witnessed by the parents, the management and the dignitaries invited for the function.
Sports is given equal importance which includes indoor as well as outdoor games focusing on athletics, yoga, cricket scouting and guiding, karate, rope malkham, etc. Though the school has limited resources for outdoor sports the efforts are made through the external sources such as hiring the university grounds- Girl guide – is also offered as an optional subject among the girls to teach the concept of discipline and social service.
Students Council
To promote the spirit of freedom and self government, the school has a students council of elected representatives who elect their leaders called PREFECTS. The students have an effective voice in organizing various co-curricular activities of the school and opportunities of bringing out their constructive and organizing abilities of learning the methods of co-operative team work and developing the sense of collective responsibility.
The institution gives importance to various creative and useful co-curricular activities like music, painting, craft, drawing, drama, sports yoga, excursions and tours, elocution and creative writing. We try to give the benefit of all these to our students with the modest resources at the minimum cost. |
